Falling Behind

With all the different Affiliate Marketing and Blog Training sites I have researched, they all have one thing in common: post, post, post. And in recent weeks, I have not been doing that. So, of course, I haven’t had any traffic here.

But in my defense, I think I have a legitimate excuse. This Covid-19 thing has put a bit of a glitch into everyone’s life. Luckily I’m not someone that has lost a loved one, nor have I contracted the virus. But it’s very real, and people need to continue to take it seriously even though things have finally started to open up.

In case you’re not aware, I also have a crafting business that I started after I was let go from my last job. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, and with time on my hands, what better time to finally get it up and running? Everyone is getting either the job eliminated, laid off or hours cut. So a crafting business wasn’t the best of ideas. Handcrafted home decor isn’t a necessity during tough times. So I went one step further and decided to construct a site that would teach others how to craft their items.

And that’s how it all started. Last fall, I joined a group of people that sell their things at a local farmers market. The items I sold didn’t sell very well, so I had to come up with something new. Here’s an example of my latest artwork, and so far, they are selling pretty good. I made more sales in the first week the market was open than I did in the two months I was involved last fall. It’s not a living, but I’ll take it!

So, getting back to why I fell behind with posting to this site and keeping everyone up to date on how life is going after 50. I didn’t have any inventory and was painting flower pots just about every waking moment for three weeks! Now that I have some exceptional items to sell, it’s time to get back to business.

While this may be a short post, I promise it won’t be the last one.  I have so many fun and informative things that I want to cover with all of you and can’t wait to let you all in on it!

Talk soon,

Carrie
